Earthquake

Please outline prayer needs your school has as a result of the 22/2/11 quake.

Aidanfield CS	I am seeing that the impact of this quake on people goes far deeper than the last with many leaving town and feeling very fragile and unsure of everything. I suspect the time to heal is going to be quite a bit longer. Prayer needs: wisdom for management as they get school open, up and running again. The work of the holy spirit in bring comfort and peace to the many kids who are not able to process what is going on Strength for staff who are going to have to deal with their own emotional response while they have kids in front of them (ie. the aftershocks continue to rumble and this really gets people going). Wisdom in talking to and answering questions from kids, parents etc That the jolly shaking stops for good. Praise that so many are still safe Mark

Ashburton CS	Were listening to "Abide with me" with class when it struck. Rather appropriate. Read through Psalm 46 today with children. We are supporting a civil defence center in Ashburton for 100 or so people who have no accommodation. Timaru CS	We were quite rocky and the second shake put a lot of nerves on edge. Decided to clear out the main classroom block and entertain the students with a video. When it seemed all was clear we went back to class but were rocked again. Decided to close school early! Everyone was safe and buildings can through unscathed.
